Apprentice Technician

JOB CODE TOAT-WS

Buckeye CableSystem has an immediate opening for a full-time Apprentice Technician (TOAT). The Apprentice Technician troubleshoots and installs Buckeye CableSystem and or customer owned equipment at the customer premise and assists with troubleshooting line issues. The Apprentice Technician is responsible to demonstrate a positive demeanor to the general public and subscribers, conveying the Company and its services in a positive light. Performing correct service and installation of, but not limited to 3D TV, HD electronics, Home Audio systems, Picture in Picture applications, and other special assignments as needed. These assignments include but are not limited to additional filler work such as QC repairs and lock box repairs.

Minimum requirements include:
High School diploma or equivalent – required. Associate degree in Electronics – preferred. 1 year prior experience in CATV system maintenance, electronics, and computer networking – required. NCTI, A+, MCSE training/certificate – preferred.

Systems Engineer

Buckeye CableSystem has an immediate opening for a full time Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of new products and services. They are also responsible for the support of broadband network functions of the Engineering Department and preventative and demand maintenance of services and equipment located in the headend and remote hub sites.

Minimum requirements include:
High School diploma/equivalent and Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology. 5 or more year’s digital headend experience and previous experience with video/data networking are strongly preferred. Part-Time Sales Specialist

Buckeye CableSystem has an immediate opening for a part-time Sales Specialist. The Sales Specialist (SS) is responsible for directly servicing the needs of the Buckeye residential customer on a First Call Resolution by phone or Chat whenever possible or providing a warm transfer to the correct area of the company. The SS is responsible for being an expert on our company’s products and services and matching our customers’ needs to our products by explaining the benefits and features of all Buckeye offerings. The SS is responsible to answer simple billing and general information questions for the customer as well as basic trouble shooting for all products and services. The SS will also be responsible for using retention and save tactics in order to maintain and increase our customer base.

Minimum requirements include:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 months sales and call center experience. Must be available between the hours of 7 am and 12 am daily and be able to work a floating schedule. Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license, background check and drug screen/physical are required.

Position pays $10.35/hour, plus commission for excellent earnings potential. The SS works a minimum of 20 – 24 hrs a week with additional hours as needed for trainings and meetings.

Part-Time Technical Support Specialist

Buckeye CableSystem is accepting applications for a part-time Technical Support Specialist (TSS) for phone support for Internet, Video, and phone services. This person must be detail orientated, have creative thinking, excellent troubleshooting skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment, and have open availability. Responsibilities include troubleshooting incoming calls from customers that are experiencing problems with Internet, Video, and Phone services. Having Macintosh experience is a plus. Providing our customers with excellent service is a must.

Minimum requirements include:
High school diploma/equivalent, ability to install and configure PC network cards, background using Windows and Internet Tools, A+ certification preferred, as well as Call Center experience. The TSS works a minimum of 22 – 28 hrs a week and must have open availability with additional hours as needed for trainings and meetings. Background check and drug screen/physical are required. Starting pay is $ 14.55/hour.

Minimum requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent, previous customer service experience, computer skills, excellent communication skills and be attentive to detail. The CRR works a minimum of 20 – 24 hrs a week and must have open availability with additional hours as needed for trainings and meetings. Background check and drug screen/physical required. Starting pay is $11.75/hour.
